"As we decided to see two people, Scott and I liaised about timings, he then came back to me very quickly for updates and to let me know that the candidates had confirmed. On the morning of the interviews Scott contacted me to say that the candidate for the afternoon had dropped out that morning. He was very apologetic about it and asked if I would consider someone else. I agreed as long as they met the criteria and if we could have the paperwork by 11.30am. Good to his word, Scott identified someone to come in for the afternoon slot and sent through their CV so the panel could see it before the interview. He turned out to be an excellent candidate.
